The City of Frisco, Texas, will soon begin its search for its next Fire Chief. Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Frisco has an estimated population of nearly 248,000 and continues to prepare for a projected buildout population of approximately 330,000. The city’s growth, economic strength, major developments, and expanding public safety needs will make this an exceptional opportunity for an experienced fire service leader.
The Frisco Fire Department is a sophisticated, high-performing organization with 265 sworn personnel and 34 civilian employees. The department operates 10 fire stations, responded to more than 20,000 calls in 2025, and is preparing for the development of Fire Station 11. Emergency medical services account for approximately 65 percent of its incident responses.
Frisco Fire has earned both Commission on Fire Accreditation International and Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services accreditation, making it one of only three departments in Texas to hold both distinctions. The department also maintains an ISO Class 1 rating and has been recognized for excellence in fire prevention.
The opportunity follows the announced retirement of Fire Chief Lee Glover, who will conclude 35 years of service to Frisco on August 3, 2026.
