Greg Smith named Marshall, Texas City Manager
Congratulations to Greg Smith on being named the new City Manager for Marshall, Texas! With nearly 25 years of dedicated service to Texas municipalities, Greg brings a wealth of leadership, experience, and professionalism to this vital role.
The City of Marshall partnered with Clear Career Professionals to conduct this nationwide search. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have assisted the City Council in finding the right leader for their community, and our team is proud to facilitate a process that resulted in the appointment of such a high-caliber professional.
Throughout his career, Greg has successfully guided communities through major infrastructure initiatives, facilities construction projects, and disaster response efforts. His deep understanding of municipal operations is backed by a Master of Business Administration from LeTourneau University and a Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Greg currently serves as the Interim City Administrator for Morgan’s Point, Texas, and has remained a highly active member of the Texas City Management Association (TCMA). His previous experience leading cities such as Denison, Jacksonville, and Angleton, combined with his background in business development, uniquely positions him to address Marshall’s future growth and infrastructure needs.
