Congratulations to William Cox and the Village of Surfside Beach on the selection of their new City Administrator!

William is a public service leader with over 30 years of experience in emergency management and local government. He holds an MPA from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Bachelor’s in Emergency Management Administration from West Texas A&M, along with CPM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Fire Service CEO certifications.

A retired Fire Chief and paramedic, William has led in complex environments, including serving internationally as a Fire Advisor for Saudi Aramco. His experience also spans economic development, code enforcement, and strategic planning. We are excited to see the impact he will make as Surfside Beach’s new City Administrator.
