Known as the “Alligator Capital of Texas,” Anahuac brings together Gulf Coast outdoor life and a distinctive place in Texas history. Set in Chambers County along the Trinity River, with Lake Anahuac and Trinity Bay nearby, the community offers freshwater and saltwater fishing, boating, and birdwatching.
The city’s tourism guide highlights Fort Anahuac Park, the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Texas Gatorfest, and local historical attractions. The Chambers County Historical Museum and Thomas Jefferson Chambers’ home on the Courthouse Square add to the area’s story. Together, these places give candidates a starting point for exploring the community beyond a job description.

A former Texas City Management Association President and 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Brad brings firsthand experience with infrastructure, economic development and community relationships to helping Anahuac find the right leader.
