Dr. Daniel T. Kistner Recognized for Fire Service Leadership

Clear Career Professionals is proud to recognize Dr. Daniel T. Kistner, Vice President of Clear Career Professionals, for his continued work in fire service leadership and firefighter safety.

Dr. Kistner was recently featured in an Oklahoma State University article announcing a new strategic partnership between OSU and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The partnership is designed to support fire service leadership, applied research, academic collaboration, and firefighter safety.

That work connects directly to the experience Dr. Kistner brings to Clear’s fire service consulting. Fire departments are facing real operational, staffing, cultural, and leadership challenges. Cities need practical guidance from people who understand both the fire service and the responsibilities of local government.

At Clear, Dr. Kistner helps communities take an honest look at their fire departments, identify what is working, recognize where improvement is needed, and plan for the future with clear priorities.

His work supports cities and fire departments through services such as:

• Fire department organizational assessments
• Fire department strategic planning
• Fire chief and fire executive recruitment
• Leadership and culture evaluations
• Operational and administrative reviews

For city leaders, evaluating a fire department or recruiting a fire executive is not just an administrative decision. These decisions affect service delivery, firefighter readiness, public safety, employee trust, and the long term direction of the organization.

Dr. Kistner’s national work with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation reflects the same focus he brings to Clear’s clients, improving leadership, supporting the fire service, and helping communities make informed decisions.

We are proud of his continued impact and grateful for the experience, professionalism, and purpose he brings to Clear Career Professionals.
