Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
Four years of progressively responsible experience in the convention, visitors, hospitality, or tourism field
One year of supervisory experience with a proven ability to recruit, train, and develop staff
Valid Class C Texas driver's license, or the ability to obtain one upon hire
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) or Texas Destination Marketer (TDM) designation
Senior leadership within a convention and visitors bureau or destination marketing organization
Experience partnering with a board of directors on strategy, policy, and annual planning
A track record in destination sales, group business, and brand-driven marketing campaigns
Experience managing hotel occupancy tax budgets and public sector reporting
