Charles West Selected as Caldwell City Administrator

Clear Career Professionals is proud to announce that the City of Caldwell, Texas has selected Charles West, ICMA-CM as its next City Administrator.
West brings more than 25 years of municipal government experience to Caldwell. He most recently served as City Manager for the City of Lago Vista and previously served as City Manager for the City of Bulverde and City Administrator for the City of Van. His career also includes leadership experience in community development, emergency management, public safety, budgeting, infrastructure, and municipal operations.
He is an ICMA Credentialed Manager and holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration from LeTourneau University.
Experience That Matches Caldwell’s Priorities
Throughout the City Administrator recruitment, Caldwell sought an experienced, practical, and financially strong municipal leader prepared to oversee a full-service organization. The City has 68 employees, a $21 million annual budget, and an operational portfolio that includes electric utilities, public safety, water and wastewater, streets and drainage, sanitation, parks, library services, municipal court, airport operations, and general administration.
West’s background aligns closely with those needs. His municipal leadership experience includes financial planning, capital improvement priorities, utility and infrastructure operations, growth management, organizational development, and communication with elected officials, employees, and residents.
As Caldwell prepares for continued growth while protecting the small-town identity and strong community relationships that make it unique, West will play a central role in advancing infrastructure projects, supporting City staff, strengthening communication, and helping the Mayor and City Council turn long-range priorities into action.
